612 북미정상회담 공동성명(2018년 6월 14일)

지난 12일엔 북한과 미국의 정상회담이 잘 진행됐고, 어제는 지방선거가 잘 치러졌습니다.

이명박 씨와 박근혜 씨가 청와대에 있을 때 비정상의 길을 걷던 나라가 점차 정상 궤도에 올라서겠지요.

어제 선거에서 압승을 거둔 더불어민주당 사람들은 그들의 승리가 그들의 실력으로 얻은 것이 아니며

세월호 승객들의 희생으로 시작된 국민 열망의 발로, 즉 나라를 바로 세우고 싶은 열망 덕에 이룬 것임을 

잊지 말아야 할 것입니다.

북미 정상회담의 결과를 놓고 왈가왈부하는 사람들이 많지만 만남 자체만으로도 충분히 의미 있는 일이었습니다.

더 이상 한미군사훈련을 하지 않는다는 사실 하나만으로도 한반도의 긴장이 많이 완화될 것입니다.

Joint Statement of President Trump and North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un at the Singapore Summit

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a first, historic summit in Singapore on June 12, 2018.

President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and sincere exchange of opinions on the issues related to the establishment of new U.S.–DPRK relations and the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean Peninsula. President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Convinced that the establishment of new U.S.–DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.–DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
2. The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

Having acknowledged that the U.S.–DPRK summit—the first in history—was an epochal event of great significance in overcoming decades of tensions and hostilities between the two countries and for the opening up of a new future, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un commit to implement the stipulations in this joint statement fully and expeditiously. The United States and the DPRK commit to hold follow-on negotiations, led by the U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and a relevant high-level DPRK official, at the earliest possible date, to implement the outcomes of the U.S.–DPRK summit.

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea have committed to cooperate for the development of new U.S.–DPRK relations and for the promotion of peace, prosperity, and security of the Korean Peninsula and of the world.

도널드 트럼프 대통령과 김정은 위원장의 싱가포르 정상회담 공동 성명

도널드 트럼프 미합중국 대통령과 김정은조선 민주주의 인민공화국 국무위원장은 2018년 6월 12일 싱가포르에서 최초의 역사적 회담을 열었다.

트럼프 대통령과 김정은 위원장은 새로운 미북 관계 수립 및 한반도에서의 지속적이고 견실한 평화 체제 구축과 관련한 문제에서 포괄적이고, 심도 있고, 진정성 있게 의견을 나누었다. 트럼프 대통령은 북한에 체제 안전 보장을 제공하기로 약속했고, 김정은 위원장은 한반도의 완전한 비핵화를 위한 확고하고, 흔들림없는 약속을 재확인했다.

새로운 미북 관계 구축은 한반도 및 전 세계의 평화와 번영에 기여할 것이라고 확신하고, 상호 신뢰 구축은 한반도 비핵화를 촉진시킬 것으로 인정하며, 트럼프 대통령과 김 위원장은 다음을 명시한다.

1. 양국 국민의 평화와 번영을 바라는 마음으로 미국과 북한은 새로운 북미 관계를 수립하기로 노력한다.
2. 미국과 북한은 한반도에서 지속적이고 안정적인 평화 체제를 구축하기 위해 공동으로 노력한다.
3. 4. 27판문점 선언을 재확인하며, 북한은 한반도의 완전한 비핵화를 위해 노력한다.
4. 미국과 북한은 이미 확인된 유해들의 조속한 송환을 포함하여 전쟁 포로 및 실종자 유해 수습을 위해 노력한다.

사상 첫 미북 정상회담이 매우 중요한 획기적 이벤트임을 인지하며, 지난 수십 년간 이어져 온 양국 간 긴장과 반목을 극복하고 새로운 미래를 열어가고자 트럼프 대통령과 김정은 위원장은 본 공동 합의에 명시된 내용을 전적으로 신속하게 이행하기 위해 노력한다. 미국과 북한은 가능한 가까운 시일 내로 미북 정상회담의 결과를 이행하기 위해 마이크 폼페이오 국무장관과 북한의 고위급 관리가 주도하는 후속 회담을 열기로 한다.

미합중국 대통령 도널드 트럼프와 조선 민주주의 인민공화국 국무 위원장 김정은은 서로 협력하여 새로운 미북관계의 발전과 한반도 및 세계의 평화, 번영, 그리고 안전을 위해 협력할 것을 약속했다.
